Outdoor Experiential Education Component

• Small and large group leadership challenges
• The individual as leader and team player
• Exploring personal limits and boundaries
• Developing trust
• DiSC: behavioural preferences
• Effective communication and presentations
• Frameworks for effective interpersonal relationships
• Values, purpose, and choices in developing as a leader

Days 5 – 6: Leadership Thinking and Strategies

• Influence and Communication Skills
• Leadership vs Management: the difference in thinking and strategies
• Legacies and impact - how to create lasting influence
• Persuasion and effective presentations
• Developing strategic networks
• Governance and public leadership - visit to Parliament
• Facilitation, managing effective meetings, and leadership though conversation
• Generative change processes: mindfulness, space, tribes, and learning styles

Day 7 - 8: Power and Influence

• Managing conflict and crucial conversations
• Personal and professional development plans
• 360 - giving and receiving effective feedback
• Group debrief on learning and experiences

6 Weeks Post-Course Activity

• Review of personal learning plans
• Learning partner report
• Masterminding for ongoing support and learning
