Che was a professional footballer with the Essendon Football Club and the Port Adelaide Football Club. His passion in political science led him to take up an advisory role to the Premier of South Australia in 2005. Moving on as Director of the Indigenous Sports Academy at Rostrevor College in 2006 and subsequently Aboriginal Employment and Training Adviser with Santos.
