Michelle has had many years experience in the public and community sector and is currently the Business Manager of the Indigenous Servicing Branch of Centrelink. She is also the director of the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre Ltd, an organisation with a keen interest in developing leadership potential across Indigenous Australia. In 2001, she was awarded the ACT NAIDOC Aboriginal Person of the Year. She is completing her BA Honours in Political Science and International Relations at James Cook University.
