Sam is the Aboriginal Land Management Facilitator with The Burdekin Dry Tropics Natural Resource Management regional body in North QLD. He works with 16 recognised traditional owner groups in ‘caring for country’ initiatives and projects focusing on cultural resource management. Previously, Sam worked in the Indigenous and government child-welfare system with responsibility for child protection, juvenile justice and youth shelters. He has both an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family background.
