Lawford is the Community Information Coordinator with the Kimberley Development Commission.  Lawford's role is to communicate Indigenous development priorities amongst traditional owners and government, as well as to broker and negotiate service delivery outcomes affecting traditional owners.

Lawford feels his role is enhanced by respectfully and sensitively interpreting the information to the elders so they can use their judgement and wisdom to make the right decision on matters affecting the Corporation.
